Voice Matters - Voice and Presentation Skills Training
Course schedule
This course is not scheduled yet.
Course description
Giving a good lecture or a presentation does not always come easily. We generally spend a lot of time preparing, focussing mainly on the content of our speech, often oblivious of the fact that delivery skills are equally important.
Did you know that body language and the sound of your voice are the most important elements in getting a message across? Have you ever reflected on how your presentation is perceived by your audience? Is the message clear and is your speech effective? What does your voice sound like, how is your timing and your use of dynamics? Can you captivate your audience?
In other words by working on your presenting skills you can make your lecture or presentation inspiring, memorable and effective!

Programme and Intended Results
This training session is designed to provide you with the practical skills to develop a dynamic and powerful voice and to speak with confidence. You will learn how to build a rapport with your audience by controlling your vocal cues as well as non verbal communication skills such as body language, posture, eye contact, and personal appearance.
The course is especially designed for less experienced presenters to reinforce some of the principals of effective presentation.
The training offers you the voice training techniques that can greatly enhance your voice quality and your vocal variety. The training includes many opportunities for participants to present to the group, both in an impromptu and a structured format (evaluation through group discussion and individual evaluation by course tutor).
In this training you will learn how to:
- Present your ideas with confidence, clarity and conviction
- Speak with a rich, expressive and commanding voice
- Add vocal variety to your speech to keep your audience interested
- Deal with nerves and stagefright
- Improve your posture and breathing to give you energy and presence
