Afternoon arrival, get to know
Walking dinner, exchange ideas and ambitions
Fireside chat – exchange experiences on running a biotech initiative, how to learn from others (Meghann Ormond)
Day 2
Thursday, August 31, 9-22 hours
Morning - The what and why of Ideation - brainstorm on selected ideas from participants, how to assess an early stage idea?
Skill assessment: entrepreneurial skills and your drivers Interactive lunch – form teams around selected ideas based on interest and capabilities
Afternoon - Develop a proposition based on problem – solution fit
Garden dinner, exchange feedback and ideas
Fireside chat - Ccomplexity of biotech research: why people fail to do what professionals want them to do with Anita Hardon
Day 3
Friday, September 1, 9-17 hours
Morning - The How – support structures and sector specific aspects of business development: Chretien Herben on venture development, Jaap Renkema on intellectual assets and Maurits Burgering on Biotech Booster
Interactive lunch – Collect components for a development plan Afternoon - build a first roadmap towards validating your idea, select, present and evaluate 2-3 propositions in depth
Wrap-up - follow up on possibilities to set next steps, accessing support programs and how to stay connected
Fee
| € 250,- for the workshop - 12 places available | |
| € 450,- with overnight stay (2 nights) - 8 places available |
Fee includes study and training material, lunch and dinner
Cancellation condition
You may cancel free of charge up to two weeks before the start of the course. After this date you will be charged the University fee. Unless:
- You can find someone to replace you in the course and supply the course coordinator with the name and contact information of your replacement.
In this case you will only be charged a € 50,- cancellation fee. - You (PhDs and postdocs of Wageningen University) have a valid reason to cancel (illness or death in the family 1st or 2nd degree).
In this case you will be charged the reduced fee and your supervisor/PI must send a mail indicating the reason for cancellation.
