Course description

This programme aims to provide talented postdocs and other promising researchers the skills and competences needed to develop a high quality research pre-proposal to submit within all NWO Veni domains.

Target Group: Researchers (with a PhD degree) interested in applying for an NWO Veni grant in 2022.
Group size: 20
Course duration: Total of 4 sessions. See schedule above for the scheduled course dates and programme below for the times and content. Next to these scheduled days, count at ½ day per week to write your proposal.

Day 1

16:45-17:30 Q&A, NWO and WUR Veni guidelines – Henrieke de Ruiter

Day 2

13:00-16:00 Efficient writing strategies –
16:15-17:15 Publishing for impact, including bibliometrics – Ellen Fest

Day 3

13:00-16:30 Follow-up workshop CV – Caro Struijke

Day 4

13:00-16:00 Effective Readable Writing (general feedback session) –

Fee

1) Reduced fee: Post-docs and staff of Wageningen University €250,-
2) Extended fee: All other participants €400,-

Fee includes study material and coffee/tea.

Cancellation policy

You may cancel your registration at no charge until four weeks before the start of the course. After this date you will be charged the course fee.

Exemption of payment:
If you can find someone to replace you in the course, you will only be charged a €50 cancellation fee. However, you must provide the course coordinator with the name and contact information of your replacement.

For post-docs of Wageningen University: when you have a valid reason to cancel (i.e., circumstances beyond your control), you will be charged the reduced fee. In this case, your supervisor must provide the reason for cancellation in writing.
